Two Days Worth ...

Friday was Semi-Formal Day for Brea at school. Doesn't she look adorable! She doesn't dress up often so I like it when she does.

That night she and her friend, Taylor, went to their first school dance. When I dropped them off, it was like having my heart taken out of my chest and watching it bop on into the school. A school dance!!?? Is she that old already!?

We curled their hair and put on a little makeup for the special occasion ... what cuties!!

On The Scrappy Side ...

Here's a sketch I used to create the card below. It's from a new site I found online - maybe this will keep me motivated to make more cards!

This is the card I'm giving my niece, Ashley, for her Confirmation ... which starts in three hours! I have the greatest honor of being her sponsor. I'm so proud of the person she has grown into so I'm thrilled she asked me to be there with her on this journey.

I thought I would update with these pictures now as tomorrow it's going to be all about Ash!

Thanks so much for the comments girls! I found that rick rack at a garage sale for 25 cents - it is chenille. This is the first time I've used it on anything because when I have something cool, I want to save it - like collect it is more like it! I'm definitely participating in the future - gotta have some cards on hand! Thanks also for the kind words about Brea ... she's my little angel! :)

Your card is beautiful Susan. LOL at the motivated bit, thats why I tried out for the Design in the first place and I have to say that I am finding a card a week quite a struggle!
Thankyou for the lovely comment on my blog.
