Wii Rocked and Bowled in the New Year!!

My sister, Nancy, had family and friends over for a casual, yet BEYOND entertaining night of fun! We brought our Wii over with the new Guitar Hero band set for us to play and sing to. One word ... hilarious!!

Swanky, Scotty and Debbie ... Band #1 ... hitting the high notes making your voice crack is a guarantee to make people cringe and laugh at the same time! Scott rocked the guitar and Debbie smashed those notes on the drums!

David and John take their turns

Check out the form on Johnny! He was totally into it!

Steve on the drums ... he's a pro ... he even held the sticks like one.

Nancy DEFINITELY had a better voice than me!

We took a break from rockin' it out to bowl a few games. Looks like Nancy got a strike with this one. Good going!

The host with Joanne

Debbie, Me and Marquardty!

Scott, John and David

You know it's a fun party when there is many beverage containers to be picked up!

Just a quick snapshot of us at the end of the night. It's about 1:45 at this point so I'm surprised we were still standing!

I got these quotes in my email today ... just thought I'd share because they spoke to me. Good ones for the beginning of a new year ... make it a new chapter in your life!

We spend January 1 walking through our lives, room by room, drawing up a list of work to be done, cracks to be patched. Maybe this year, to balance the list, we ought to walk through the rooms of our lives... not looking for flaws, but for potential.
~ Ellen Goodman ~

"Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire and begin at once, whether you ready or not, to put this plan into action."
~ Napoleon Hill ~

AND ... I was reading something my bestie, Share, wrote today and she said it perfectly so I'll quote her as well:

"My true friends ... you know who you are. You can take me or leave me and you guys have chosen to take me - that makes you my true friend :)"
~ Share Smith-Baxter ~

As for resolutions ... don't make them anymore. Why bother? LOL! I'll just pedge to do things that make me happy, be with people that accept me for who I am and try to better myself ... what more could you ask for?

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Here's to making it a good one fill with hugs and kiss, dreams and wishes!
