"We all have dreams. But in order to make dreams come into reality, it takes an awful lot of determination, dedication, self-discipline, and effort."

I think this explains both events we went to today. We packed two events into one day with LOTS of pictures to prove it! Lots of determination and dedication come into play for the Polar Plunge and being a Rodeo Cowboy!
POLAR PLUNGE
The Polar Plunge is an event where people jump into freezing water to raise money for the Special Olympics!
Erik Perkins from Perk at Play on KARE11 news was the first person to plunge into the icy cold water. He's taking his victory lap here! His feature is on Tuesday nights so check his link later this week to see the footage ... I'm sure it will be there!
Here's Mike and Tammy's daughter, Megan (on the right) with her friend, Sidney Stone. The both jumped in for the cause!
My friend, Ashley, jumped for Deagan's Dream Team. As of right now they are the top online fundraisers - great job team!
Just Noah, Brea and Evan playing in the snow! It was PERFECT weather outside to make a snowman so they were lovin' it. We couldn't stay too long ... there was a rodeo waiting for us!
World's Toughest Rodeo
The rodeo that we were at is part of a competition put on by Spike TV called The World's Toughest Cowboy. The show we watched will air on March 5 and March 12. The men competing are riding horses and bulls for a chance to win a ranch in Wyoming!! Nice prize ... if you live to enjoy it!
They had the band Whiskey Falls play before the rodeo and afterwards for a Party in the Dirt! The first song you hear playing is one of theirs. Loved them!
The cowboys have to ride in three different categories. Dusty Elkinton takes his turn riding bareback on the horse.
One intermission was a BIG hit with the fans. Whiplash the Cowboy Monkey was there showing off as he kenneled sheep into the ropes on both sides of the arena. This was the kids' favorite part of the night. I don't blame them ... who could resist lovin' this cute, little monkey! With him is his trusty dog, Toby. His handler is Tommy Lucia, who has been with Whiplash since he was born.
After more entertainment and a few more bull rides, we were ready to go home. We had a great time and made a memorable night for the kids!
