Updates!!

We had a fairly relaxing weekend. These pictures actually start on Wednesday when Brea and I got our hair cut. We were in a hurry when we left so I forgot to take a picture of us when we were done. I'll have to curl Brea's hair like it was done because it was adorable!!

Just us before the cuts!

Friday night we went out to eat at Melvin's. Here's my new do. Same basic style, just shorter and with highlights ... which I'm lovin'!

Nancy invited us out to eat at Melvin's since it was Friday during Lent. The Spinach and Artichoke Dip hit the spot, plus I always have leftovers for the next day ... yummmmm

House update: Here's the layout of the bathroom upstairs. Shower, toilet, tub and walking space. The sink will be on the opposite wall. Scott laid this out to get a visual!

WEIRD SCIENCE ...

Brea had to work on a science project so we did it on Sunday. It was due today ... nothing like waiting until the LAST minute! Here she measures out the boards that will eventually hold candles for the experiment. Her question was "does the color of wax affect how a candle burns?" Hmmm ... let's see!

We've gathered all our supplies ...

Burn, baby, burn!!

WHAT? That's still Test 1 but different candles! Yep, we discovered that after burning the first set of candles that they were just dipped in color, not a totally dyed candle so back into town we went. No lie ... after about 3 hours of searching and seven stores later, we finally discovered some that were relatively inexpensive AND the wax was all dyed. We could only find these three colors, which weren't our first choices, but made them work! So we did the experiment and all is well with the science project!

TAG, YOU'RE IT!

I've been "tagged" by my friend, Karen, ... here's the rules:

When you are tagged, you need to follow a few rules. For this game of tag, you need to:

•Open your photo folder on your computer
•Open the 6th folder of photos
•Select the 6th picture
•Post the picture on your blog with a description
•Invite six friends to join the challenge
•Link your six friends to your blog post

Here it goes ... my 6th folder is called "Miscellaneous." I organize my pictures by year and I don't have 6 years worth on my computer so this is what you get ... my 6th picture is:

This cartoon by Calvin & Hobbes. I saved it because it reminded me that any kid could do this. We don't want our kids to yell, but sometimes we might want to ask first what they need!

Now to tag six people:
Marnie - my bestest friend
Oleta - my high school friend who I love dearly!
Daniela Dobson - love her blog for inspiration
Jennifer Peterson - love her inspiration and posts about her family
Sonya Pickles - found her on a card site site, enjoy reading her blog
Sally's Daze - Another inspiration blog!

I WON SOMETHING!!

I read many blogs to get inspiration and see what projects other people are working on. On Tracy's blog, I left a comment about what I like about Spring. Now I get a gift certificate to spend at I {Heart} Papers! Love it!

We're getting lots of rain today so time to pull out my pink raincoat and spread some spring-y cheer! Later!

I SOOOOO should have looked at your blog before panicking last night trying to get Dylan's science project done for today. We remembered it was due LAST NIGHT! So...nothing like turning a nail into a magnet with electricity...works every time. :-)

Thanks Karen!

Marnie - we were going to go the "electrical" route for obvious reasons but then Brea thought of candles because we had a bunch of them on the table from our Valentine's dinner. We just had to figure out what her question was going to be. :)
